We are interested in what has yet to take a definitive form.
We follow questions, materials, sources, experiences and intuitions as they come into relation and gradually reshape a project. Intermediate stages, detours and possibilities that emerge along the way become part of the enquiry and help determine its direction.
Observing, collecting, connecting, experimenting and sharing are ways of developing new readings and forms of understanding.
Memories are living materials, capable of creating connections between stories, images, people and contexts.
We work with archives, documents, images, testimonies and biographies as sources to explore, question and reinterpret. We are interested in what emerges when these materials are brought together and recontextualised through contemporary languages and formats.
Individual stories can open onto collective dimensions, while traces and fragments of the past become material for developing new readings of the present and exploring narratives yet to emerge.
Thinking through making means using practice as a tool for research and understanding.
We work with materials, images, sounds, words, gestures and spaces, experimenting with different languages and formats in response to the questions raised by each project. Making allows us to observe what happens, test intuitions, shift direction and uncover unexpected elements.
Exhibitions, publications, performances, workshops, screenings and other formats become part of the research: opportunities to experiment, create connections and share what emerges.
Listening means making room for different presences, experiences and points of view.
Stories, testimonies, conversations and readings bring different ways of making and sharing meaning into our projects. Tone, volume, rhythm, pauses, and silences become part of the work’s material, shaping both the space and the relationship with those listening.
Through performative readings, podcasts, conversations and other sound-based formats, we explore voice as part of the curatorial framework and as a space where different stories and perspectives can meet.
We are interested in making room for what escapes categories, bringing different forms, languages and imaginaries into dialogue.
Art and culture take shape in temporary configurations, moving across places, practices and different modes of encounter. Unexpected juxtapositions and hybrid formats allow us to explore new relationships between works, people and contexts.
The term variety also refers to variety entertainment, a form built around the succession and juxtaposition of different acts. We draw on its freedom and heterogeneity as a curatorial possibility: mixing forms, shifting registers, creating connections and making room for the unexpected.
