Maurizio Cilli
Maurizio Cilli, an artist and architect, directs his research towards the study of phenomena of transformation of anthropised and urban territories, experimenting with interpretation interventions through contemporary expressive languages. In 1993, he was one of the founders of the Città Svelata collective, engaged in projects aimed at improving the quality of public space.
Collaborated from 2010 to 2015 as a researcher and designer with the Giulio Einaudi Foundation. In 2012 and 2013, Tutor Advisor for Master’s theses in Design at the Domus Academy in Milan. Senior professor at IED University of Turin in Design Methodology. Conducts teaching activities and workshops on the topics of Design Culture, Living and the application of Civic Arts as practices in urban and territorial generative processes. He has curated with Stefano Mirti since the 2020 edition of the Architecture Festival BOTTOM UP! Quando la città si trasforma dal basso, promoted by the Fondazione per l’Architettura di Torino. In 2020, he will be the founder of Gianluigi Ricuperati of NOVA EXPRESS. Editor at large of the magazine NOVA EXPRESS and during 2023 of the daily Capsule of the same name for “Il Giornale dell’Arte”. Since 2022, he has curated the permanent project ‘Archivi d’Affetto’ for the Circolo del Design in Turin. He recently realised the first urban regeneration intervention on public space promoted and supported by the Consulta per la Valorizzazione dei Beni Artistici e Architettonici, in Turin between via Perosi and via Mascagni.
